So on Tuesday I slipped and whacked my shin on the tub.
For those of you playing along at home, this is really similar to the May 2005 injury. Okay, same injury, different leg, not quite as severe.
The result, I'm walking with a cane until my leg and ankle decide to behave, stop swelling and function properly.
I've also decided I'm not accident prone; I'm gravitationally prone.
So I'm on the bus, with my cane, and my priority seating pass, and a bag of groceries on the ground in front of me and a man gets on the bus and demands my seat. The other 5 empty priority seats were unacceptable, he wanted mine. I offered him the seat next to me and across from me, but this was unacceptable. I'm sitting there, with my cane and groceries and he wants me to move. I really wish I knew what the problem is with some of these people. I eventually moved after close to 2 minutes of him insisting he needed my seat.

When I have to use my cane and on the very rare occasion there is an asshole in my midst, I simply walking by them and "accidentlly" jam my cane on top of their foot as I walk by or slightly shift my cane out for them to trip on. I look all innocent, apologize for my klutziness and they say nothing, mostly because they do not want to look like an asshole yelling at someone with a cane.
