So on Tuesday I slipped and whacked my shin on the tub.

For those of you playing along at home, this is really similar to the May 2005 injury. Okay, same injury, different leg, not quite as severe.

The result, I'm walking with a cane until my leg and ankle decide to behave, stop swelling and function properly.

I've also decided I'm not accident prone; I'm gravitationally prone.

So I'm on the bus, with my cane, and my priority seating pass, and a bag of groceries on the ground in front of me and a man gets on the bus and demands my seat. The other 5 empty priority seats were unacceptable, he wanted mine. I offered him the seat next to me and across from me, but this was unacceptable. I'm sitting there, with my cane and groceries and he wants me to move. I really wish I knew what the problem is with some of these people. I eventually moved after close to 2 minutes of him insisting he needed my seat.

*a cane is not a weapon*

It may depend on location. Some people need to be close to the doors because they have panic disorder related to crowds for example. I doubt that's what happened in that situation though.

I'd hope most people in that situation could at least say "I need to sit close to the doors" rather than "Give me the seat"

I can relate... I'm agoraphobic

I'm also fond of the word "please"
