I recently read Incubus Dreams, by Laurell K. Hamilton.
I would argue, that in that 700+ page creature, there was a 90-page novella in there called Incubus Dreams. I suggest the book be split into two parts... the aforementioned novella, and a pr0n contribution called "Anita Blake does St. Louis".
If it meets the following qualifications, she humped it:
a) Male
b) Vampire or Wereanimal
c) not named "Gregory"
Wikipedia describes the motivation as a "metaphysical emergency". Hoo Nelly, she needs to think up a better game plan that doesn't involve sleeping with vampires she's never met before.
In the future, should I decide to break your brain, I will repost select dialogue.

I did read Micah before this... before realizing it comes afterwards... and I'm sort of glad I did, since while there was some relationship angsting, the story was actually decent.
