Of all the unfounded beliefs I have, I believe most firmly that stuffed animals have souls. No amount of empirical evidence would be able to sway me otherwise.

I wonder if this is how people who believe in God feel...

I think that people who believe in god might feel that way, though they don't recognize the belief as unfounded such as you have.

A great number of them do. That would be the whole "faith without proof" thing.
