Of all the unfounded beliefs I have, I believe most firmly that stuffed animals have souls. No amount of empirical evidence would be able to sway me otherwise.

I wonder if this is how people who believe in God feel...

The big font.... is that what you actually believe or what someone else said? Just curious :)

And I think some people who believe in god feel that... even those who are skeptical scientists *is thinking of a particular person :P* LOL.

I believe if you stop, sit quietly and listen to anything inanimate it will speak to you.

Especially empty buildings at night. They just love to talk.

i believe that statement would be more accurate without the word 'inanimate'.

I think that people who believe in god might feel that way, though they don't recognize the belief as unfounded such as you have.

I would have to agree with your belief. As soon as I saw Toy Story, I yelled, "A-HA!!!! I knew it!!!".

...but only in my mind, and not in the movie theatre, as that would have been crass.

A great number of them do. That would be the whole "faith without proof" thing.

they have souls which begs me to think back to all the GI joes and other childhood friends that I sacrificed for greater power

I think I still have every childhood toy with a face. I can't risk it.

i have the hugest teddy bear his name is Junior and he certainly does have a soul

Mine is called "teddy"

He was there when I was born. He's travelled the world with me. I cried on and off for days when I thought I had lost him. Thankfully someone found him and kept him safe until I could track him down.
