In an attempt to remove my new stapler from it's stuping f*%&ing plastic package, I have succeeded in cutting an inch long gash into the back of my thumb,which hurts.

I think companies should be responsable for making their products easily opened. Considering I had a pair of scissors and this still happened, I think it's their fault.

amen to that! Modern packaging that super seals the thing all the way around makes stuff so hard to open. I've done the same myself on a few items.

As a former security guy who dabbled in Loss Prevention, I can tell you that the reason they use said packaging is to make it harder for unscrupulous little pishers to steal the thing.

You my friend are collateral damage.
