Kudos on the battle kiddo! It takes quite the person to have that type of discussion/inner analysis. Been there one too many tines. At the end of the day, I would respect you more if you voiced those concerns to me (as the volunteer) and we worked through it to find a solution that works for everyone.
Volunteers are gold & should be treated as such. However, the good of the whole must always come before the good of one. In this tidbit of applied insight lies a critical balance that you are responsible for. Once you figure out how to maintain this balance, I would be willing to exchange that knowldge for the meaning of life!
I'm off to watch the Shakira video. Perhaps I can fantasize that I'm on set for the shooting of this video (somebody had to put that mud on her!) & not stuck in my home office doing data entry when the Humidex reads 40C+ b/c a doctoc NEEDS this data yesterday! Woo-sah! Perhaps another cold shower with Shakira in the background.....
