So I went in to gert checked for STD's... and never had to take off my pants.
???
Okay, so this could be dangerous for some women, but better for others. My doctor trusts me to describe things accurately.
I still think this is novel... I got tested without having to show the doctor my hoohoo.

He also wants me off Depo Provera. He still gave me a new prescription insisting that the Pharmacy messed up and I should have 3 more. I think part of it is my Vitamin D and Calcium levels are spiffy. The healthy baseline is 75, and in February I was at 77. He said most people are down to 20 or 30 by then, so if my lowest level is 77, I'm definitely taking care of myself.

So he wants me off the Depo Provera. I'm ungodly unreliable with pills, allergic to latex (condoms) and adhesive (patch), and don't even start with me on the idea of fishing a freaking Nuva ring from my cervix every month during my period *yum*.

He recommended an IUD. I might lose some of the hormonal goodness I got when I went on Depo Provera, but it won't cause one density loss...

Something to think about

and I didn't even need to take off my pants.

Is the Nuvaring available in Canada? If it is, it may be a better option for me than pills... I'm so bad with remembering to take pills at the right time (but I haven't actually *missed* any, just taking them a few hours late... I should switch my taking time). I can't do patch because of skin problems and I don't think I'd want Depo because I've heard it makes your period go away completely, and I like the reassurance of knowing I'm not pregnant...

I happen to not like my period and don't miss it, but I'll probably get it back using the IUS, and yes, Nuva is available in Canada as of like 3 months ago.
