So when your brother asks you what kind of spray paint to use on animals, because he is afraid of injuring them, is it wrong to tell him?

maybe you could conversationally ask him what the paint is for and/or suggest that it might not be a great idea (without telling him no or anything that comes across authoritative.

You could also try giving him a little and seeing if he'll real in a bit. As in "well I know that animal friendly paints do exist - what kind of project is this you're doing anyway?"

If he's dead set on doing this, i guess it would be best if he knew there are safer alternatives. I guess you'll have to be creative and find a way of weaving this info in without sounding like you're helping him or encouraging him in these actions

I know it's for mischief, and I don't want to know. He'll be more than happy to inform me of his evil plans, but I learned a long time ago not to ask.
