My neighbours fight a lot. Every night since they got back from wherever they were, in fact. Tonight we called the cops because I got woken up from a dead sleep by thumping and the woman screaming. Fuck this.

Sounds eerily familiar... I'm glad you called the cops. Violence happens in the home more than anywhere else. Especially violence against women.
