My neighbours fight a lot. Every night since they got back from wherever they were, in fact. Tonight we called the cops because I got woken up from a dead sleep by thumping and the woman screaming. Fuck this.
I get that couples fight. I even accept that they do it often. We've gotten used to turning up the TV in the evenings to mask the sound of the yelling. Screaming and thumping is a different category, and I'm way intolerant of anything loud enough to wake me AND Josh* in the middle of the night. He normally sleeps through everything.
