Only 6 out of the 100? That seems rather low. I would have guessed a far higher average. But then again I think I assume the majority will read at least 6 books a year. And that they have read at least 6 of these while in school. So what do I know?!?

Ah I see. Probably it was the 4 years of Honors English in Cowville's High School to blame for my score then. Sometimes I forget that not all education is created equal. I shouldn't... because I know better... but I do. And assigning books to read and requiring written reviews of them does seem to be a rather easy way to teach a class without having to actually do much teaching. I'm not one to complain though. Given that I fully embrace the "How to do as little work for as much money as possible" way of doing things that'd just be wrong. =P

Oh don't get me wrong, we had to do plenty of books, and I also did some optional ones that are on that list. Just, most of the mandatory ones for me aren't there.

Some of the books were required reading, however I did read The Colour Purple of my own volition.

His Dark Materials trilogy is far better that the first movie made it out to be. In fact, I recommend never watching the movie.
