A letter arrived today from the Netherlands and I opened it, only to discover it wasn't intended for me (it didn't specify a name on the outside).

It's some sort of legal form letter, a photocopy of a passport and 3 months worth of paystubs.

What should I do with it?

Tape it back up, RTS the bugger. Or try and find the guy it was sent too.

Not so much on the second bit I think personally.

I don't think they can refuse really. You say send it back and Can post can either withhold it or send it.

Given the nature of the contents, it might be best to hand it off to the police, who might be able to use the passport information to get it to the right person.
