I had a cruddy week last week. I really did. I'm coming down with a cold, and I got my first parking ticket ever (which I didn't actually deserve, but is it worth it to fight it? It irks my sensibilities), and so by Saturday I just wanted to be left alone.

This led me to realize that I have people in my life that do not understand what alone means. I don't blame them, but I'm going to need to be more clear in communicating my boundaries. In case you're not aware, I'm an introvert. Right now, I'm trying to fit as much active living in before the baby comes, while balancing "me time" because it might be a number of months, if not years, before I get that time back. This threatens me.

Despite my crotchety nature, zenten and I took her majesty to the dog park both days to let her run. I may have preferred my lethargic dog. She got into less trouble and needed less exercise. Zenten and I are also thinking about getting a puppy (but not until after the baby). Seeing Pebbles play with a Toy Poodle puppy was adoreable. I'm not getting a toy poodle.

Saturday night was enjoyable and spent with friends. It was good to see everyone.

Sunday was shopping day, which included replacing my body pillow that I left in Montreal on my honeymoon. Many thanks to the cashier who took the time to let me know they were on sale 2 for 1. We also got picture frames for some wedding photos. I think our portrait is magical and makes me squee every time I look at it. I can't wait to hang it up.

And I broke down and got a cell phone. Zenten got one too. It's not because I intend to use it a lot, but with the baby being imminent... it's smart. It should also alleviate some stress with respect to time management issues. It can also function through my car so it can be hands-free when I'm driving. I'm glad I got a pretty basic phone, because the higher-end models are a little beyond me. Mine = simple + good.

If I missed any "t"'s in making of this post, it's because I dropped coffee in my keyboard, and it doesn't work quite right...

I think I'm done for now.

Except one of my coworkers sucks. You may think that when I've forgotten my security pass and need to go to the washroom that dangling it out of arm's reach is funny, but it's not. And she'll know this when she realizes I've taken her off my afternoon coffee run.
