Burning Man Part 2

So baanrys and I are plannign a trip to Burning Man... this is now trunign into a crazy run across the United States with our total ignorance of US Geography, we've decided that on our way or soemthing, we will now be visiting Las Vegas and New Orleans. Keep posted for other travel addendums.

It's 43 hours minimum if we drive straight there.

you two might as well take a month long trip down to the states, if you want to do new orleans, vegas, and burning man.... i'm sure more will come up... say washington

We plan on staying just long enough to say we were there. It's like planning rest stops in interesting places.

If you take the most direct route through the US to Burning Man (which looking from their website is in the Reno, Nevada area-ish), you would be going around 2691 miles (according to Mapquest), so 4332 kilometres.

To take a detour to New Orleans, would bump the trip up to 1569+2187, so 3756 miles, so 6047 kilometres.

The other three places (San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix) can be on the way depending on how you arrange things.

That looks remarkably similar to what I was thinking. except maybe coming down through Washington on the pink line. Maybe we'll see how many states we can possibly drive though.

That could always be fun to do. I've always wanted to do something like that, but I don't want to go to the US while Dubya is in power. So it's trekking around Europe next summer for me!
