Holy busy day!
We got up, watched Black Sheep (zombie and weresheep, and surprisingly, not *that* bad), grabbed some stuff from Zellers and Canadian Tire before heading up to the campsite. Retrieved the rest of the family, stopped at a garage sale and scored an Exersaucer for James, as well as some little toys, returned home, dropped off new acquisitions, retrieved forgotten items, and off to Zellers again to get Josh's and James's opinions on some new lounge chairs. Unanimous approval was given, they were purchased and loaded into the trunk.
Once at the campsite, we flipped the roof on the gazebo, I retarred the trailer roof, I repaired the interior ceiling in the bathroom, we set up the chairs, Josh started the fire (we don't need no stinkin' starter kit), set up dry storage for the fire wood, swam in the lake, admired the wildflowers, cleaned more chipmunk snacks out of the shed, ate fire-cooked sausages, and played a game of Carcasonne (Josh won this time).
I also washed my hands with kerosene for the first time in my life. I don't know why I knew to do it, but it seemed like the only thing that would take roofing tar off my hands, and holy cow does it work well!
On the way back, Highway 17 was closed for almost the entire stretch bordering Renfrew forcing me onto a Deliverance Detour (which considering I've been visiting the area since I was born and I had no freaking clue where I was, says something about how much of the highway was closed).
Came home, returned the movies, and ready to go to sleep (James and Pebbles are already way ahead of us)
