Proof I work for a nice place... they gave me the rest of the week off because my budgie died... My friend Andrea's bird died too.. we're going to bury them together...
sympathetic colleagues and employers rule... I have a good employer as well at Canada Council for the Arts... she is very flexible regarding schedules and sick leave and all. :)
