I dropped my keyboard and my tray landed on it, and exploded the space bar off the board... and activated several program... including Windows Messenger. I seriously thought I uninstalled that thing.

I think Windows Messenger is one of those uninstallable things, that no matter how much you think you've gotten rid of it, it is still there, hiding.

you mean ununinstallable.

I don't know whether to love or hate what technology does to langauge.

And does uninstallable mean "not installable" or "capable of being uninstalled"? Or both, depending on context?

Windows Messenger is not MSN Messenger or the OTHER program called Windows Messenger.

Oh this was Windows Messenger, that looks like MSN messenger, that I had to disable at one point to be able to install MSN messenger, because Windows messenger said I needed MSN messenger updates, but wouldn't let me install them.
