I think part of the reason I chose to abandon most interaction over the internet is that I find too many people to be fake when online.

Ironically... I see my internet persona as the more real me... people's screen names are more meaningful than their real names. I'm more relaxed when speaking in text... I find meetings in person awkward...

I know it doesn't apply to everyone... but at least on LJ I can control who I get to interact with.
