Considering they forgot to include the "B" in their statement of purpose, we will correct that.
I'm just waiting for someone to assume my primary partner is a woman. I am bisexual (though I don't think of myself categorically), but my primary partner happens to be a man, and I think that will go a long way to making people understand their own prejudices. I will never point it out, since I don't think my own orientation is any indication of how capable I am of doing my job.
Well, I think of it less as "my way", but I've heard some good things, and I *think* most of the board is looking to move forward and achieve a sense of professionalism at least in the business end of things. Of course there are "personal agenda" people too, but it's not like I haven't been in situations like this before.
Beyond the bias that I recruited you to the Board, I think that you will make a fine addition to the group.
Your skill set & background in marketing and communications will be a great asset to the Board and your past experience with non-profit strategy is a perfect match!
I don't think of myself as bisexual either, more like pansexual (that way I include people of any gender identity) but for simplicity's sake I say bi.
I'm pleased that you are on the Board of Directors because I think you will do good for PTS especially with your sensitivity and acceptance towards any kind of 'reasonable' self-identification.

I used it as troll bait to get the person's IP. Now that IP should be blocked from posting on LJ.
