The LAN crashed at work.

I was told to log off and log back on. I was way ahead of them and already back online.

I told my coworkers to reboot since I thought "Log off" would confuse them.

Apparently reboot was too difficult an instruction.

Heh. I've been waiting all morning for one of those "official" gov't types to call me back. The person I'm *supposed* to contact is on holiday. I imagine that I'll prolly just call the on-holiday dude back next week when he's in his office, because I'm not sure the person who'd dealing with his re-directed calls is taking that gig all too seriously.

Most of them act like they are doing you a favour for doing their job at all. I blame the job security.

*blinks* ... there are people who don't know the meaning of reboot in the government?

They know it, just a different definition. When you call back about whatever particular issue you have called in the past, they REBOOT you in the ass just like they did the first time you called you foolish person. Yes, your taxes pay our salary...BUT SO WHAT?
