[personal profile] zenten said he wasn't feeling well and so I offered him a  picnic after work. So after I got off work, I picked up a  few fixuns from the grocery store and had chicken breast sandwiiches on fresh bakery bread, potato salad, macaroni salad, a regular salad with choice of dressing. I forgot to pick up the wine and the corkscrew, but [personal profile] zenten saved the day. So we had dinner on a leopard-print blanket in the park near our apartment, followed by snuggles and Turkish Delight.

As the sun started to set, we headed home, and [personal profile] zenten said he felt much better.

Yay, picnics are great fun. I think we are going for a picnic when Reiney visits. Oh are you guys coming to Nutopia?

Yepper! We're hopsing to head down for Friday afternoon and leave Monday night or so. No hurries for us.

We just bought a queen size inflatable bed on legs for the occasion.

I'm taking the Jamie approach to camping.

Yeah, the older I get the less I find I want to "rough it" anymore. There is a lot to be said for sleeping on a nice soft bed in a heated tent.

I believe in resting on my laurels on this one. I did a 7-day portage canoe trip through northern Ontario. Now that it's over, I prefer air mattresses and full bedding and the sound of birds in the morning accompanied by a stereo system.

hehe yeah. I used to teach wilderness survival to Air Force pilots, I have had enough roughing it.

Sounds cool to me, especially the blanket ;) LOL!

That's sweet.

I love picnics myself and planning one when out of town friends come for a visit in a few weeks. :)

This is the magic of having someone love you. They do something nice and it all feels better afterwards.

Zenten is a lucky man.
