I think this is an lj problem. LJ has been having issues since the DOS attack earlier this week.
I think the friends page problem is due to tables in the post (something that should not break the page). I got rid of the table used to display my latest painting and haven't posted any memes lately so hopefully that will help.
Apparently my painting broke somebody else's friends page a few days ago... I got rid of the table and all was well. I also know a few people who have not been recieving thier email notifications. Personally I haven't been having any issues with stuff other people post but it has been unusually dead around here lately.
I use S2 mostly because there are more options for styles (especially if you are a paid user). I think that some of the S2 styles might be just a bit stabler than S1.
