Assignment was due on Tuesday the 21st, and conveniently the database went offline for scheduled maintenance from Friday the 17th until Monday the 20th. I work full time and would have no chance to get the assignment done for Tuesday. I asked on the class forum if anyone could provide raw data since without the data, I would miss out on 45% of the possible assignment marks. A student kindly put up the data on Saturday. I had also in my post indicate to any of my classmates to credit the data to the student to avoid potential consequences. Sunday night around 8pm, the lab professor granted a one week extension and I downloaded the data from the server since I'm paranoid and would rather gather my own data and make my own errors. On Thursday the lab professor then posted that anyone who posted data, and anyone who downloaded data from the forum would be penalized as it was academic fraud. It doesn't matter if you used it or not. By that logic anyone who compares assignments should get penalized. In any case, there are likely to be dozens of students affects by this. Serious, what would you have done?

So my professor refuses to get involved, so he gets a kick for being a goober.

The other professor who has made this decree might get two kicks to make sure he never does it again. Maybe a third because I'm angry.
