mm not sure... I was taught in my course that with the right stimulus birds would grow lizard teeth (and lab tests proved it). I think chicken farming would be a little different if they had rows of teeth...
I believe that is correct re the beak spur - it's what is supposed to help hatching chicks peck their way out of the egg. Otherwise it would be like humans trying to break a window by using their tongues.
Then again, maybe I heard that in some crazy acid flashback dream and I have no idea what I am talking about.
Well this gives new meaning to that old saying...the ones about hen's teeth. so what's next, pigs with the ability to stay up in the air just bit longer than other animals?
