Video Game Shame

What exactly is my fascination with playing a video game 50-110 hours and then stopping when there is about 3 hours left (read: the final boss fight). I'm looking at all of my games, aand I've *almost* beat almost all of them.

Maybe I should put which game I should play (finish) to a vote.
Potential options have been omitted, including Wild Arms III since I remember being stuck in the game.

Silent Hill 2 (barely started)
Final Fantasy X (about 4 hours left for a boss fight)
Star Ocean (about 6 hours left in the game... and it belongs to my brother)
Suikoden III (also belongs to my brother, never played)

Thanks for the offer, but I actually picked up FFX-2 when it first came out thinking I'd have time to play it. Reality sucks.

It is pretty good! I've quite liked it so far (and I'm right at the end).

Another game I highly recommend is Primal.

if you haven't played #2 (Star Ocean: the Second Story), you might want to.

although i suspect having played the third one first may interfere with your enjoyment of the second.

I have actually played all of the Star Ocean series (and own Second Story), and frankly, they don't interfere too much with each other. The 2nd one has a lot of variation in the game possibilities (64 possible endings I believe, if not 128). Number 3 has far fewer variants.

I actually played through FFX.. and got to the Yunalesca fight.. and discovered that I was underdeveloped, and am now forced to play right from the start again because I didn't save in two slots...

Silent Hill 2 (barely started): Do this one first. I remember really being moved by the story for this one. I think the same will happen for you.
Final Fantasy X (about 4 hours left for a boss fight): Beat this one just because it'll be effortless and it's pretty. My last choice. As long as you've got the time and the effort to expend, the last little bit of this game pretty much play themselves.
Star Ocean (about 6 hours left in the game... and it belongs to my brother): Go for this one next. You've managed to get THAT far, which is an accomplishment in Star Ocean. If you want some company/help in that last long haul, I'm there, I've wanted to see this game for a while.
Suikoden III (also belongs to my brother, never played): I've never heard anything about this series...play it 3rd so you can give it a review. I'd watch this one too.
