It must be time to stop working on Macroeconomics. Like seriously, they're asking tedious cheesy questions, meanwhile I'm like "Look at that data, BC must have lifted a tuition cap to produce that spike in 2002!", but the answer is "Ontario had the highest rate of tuition CPI over the period". *sigh* no room for creativity.


God it's boring...

That's what I got my degree in...Economics.... Great stuff..It's all lost though in the back of my mind.. :'(

I'm jealous! Economics can open up a lot of doors for you with government and banks.

My degree is in English, but I work as a Graphic designer and/or Editor, and I keep ending up in Government offices where a background in Economics would be a huge asset. So what's driving me nuts is I'm used to handling much more difficult than this.

Having just completed my ECON pre requisites for the MA & looking forward to Micro. & Macro. again at the MA level, I'm definitely on the same page.

The cost benefit analysis said that completion (not success) in economics can move you leaps and bounds over your peers!

P.S. - Whenver I can my schedule in gear (cross your fingers for a pre-Provincials appearance), we can share war stories about re-visitng the realm of undergraduate academics. I wish you could have seen the look on the TAs face when I pointed out that 3 questions on the final weren't valid. Her jaw actually dropped even more when she found out that I was a grad. student. She made some lame ass comment about how I can look forward to critical analysis in my 3rd and fourth year courses....Mmmphf!!!

I can relate to that. In answering a silly little question about GDP involving a "bottle of French wine purchased by my parents" I included so many qualifying statements relating to the age of the wine, the country of origin, the likelihood of the import being by a company rather than my parents, that I'm sure the TA is going to hate me, but at least will not be able to dispute that I do indeed understand the concepts.

I mean really, I've spent the last three months working with PhD Economists having laughs over questions like "If an individual successfully sues the Federal Government, is it a government transfer?"

I just finished doing the first assignment, and I'm already seeing the posts go up in the forum with questions like "Hey, does NE1 know how 2 use that EStat thing? I don't understand! Help!" and "what u mean the prof not putting slides on here?"

*sigh*

I just need to analyse the trends for the graphs I just made (and considering I'm allowed to analyse data trends at work for academic publications, methinks I'm going to be okay).

This work contract ends on February 10, and my schedule will become much more free for a bit. I have a midterm on the 14th, so anytime after the 15th? Josh still wants to meet you too.
