An appointment is made to have my budgie looked at.

$20 bird
+$20 in pet taxi
+$54 to have the vet look at him
+$?? for bloodwork
+$?? for treatment

*sigh*

I think I would be more concerned if he didn't look so damned spry

Then again, I learned in biology that "birds just fall over one day"

I'm also hoping that the trauma of the vet doesn't make him sick.

:/

I will talk to Dave to see if we can give you a ride. That might cut costs. it will have to be after the holidays though. I hope that's ok.

The appointment is for Jaunary 4th at 5pm. I couldn't really do before the holidays either.

Wow, all that for a budgie, you must love it, hopefully he makes it, over the holidays. One would think it would probably be cheaper to buy a new budgie.

I once had a $560.90 vet bill for my hedgehog-he died a week after going to the vet. I argued the bill because they didn't do anything but take blood so they dropped the $200 exotic animal charge. My $00.02 Concerning birds and other exotic animals- most vets are clueless, be VERY picky about what vet you go to. Owning a zoo of different animals in my time I know that vets will always take your $ even if they can't help you. Good luck and hope he's okay!
