I consider it extremely lucky if I bleed on something that I am crafting. It becomes not just a crafted peice of my expression, but bonded to my soul.
Most of my wood carvings have red smudges on them somewhere.

Absolutely! I poke myself with pins while sewing all the time, and if doing something by handstitching, then usually draw blood too.
