Telemarketers

Apparently I feel the need to lie and seek amusement from telemarketers. From the time I tell them I'm not interested twice, I consider them fair game.

Me: "I'm sorry, I am not interested, I really don't have any interest in this product regardless of the savings"
Her: "Well perhaps your husband might be interested in such wonderful magazines"
Me: "My partner is a woman"
Her: "Oh. *pause* Well you have a good night then"

She knew she was screwed at that point. Too bad I was lying in this particular instance.

On a more moral ground, it is heterosexist to presume that I am married to a man. Maybe she'll learn to use more gender neutral terminology. Probably not.

*rotflmao* ... Good one :P ... yes it is sexist to assume that we're all heterosexual.

Besides, most of us are bi :P lol...

It's silly to presume that you're married honestly :)

Pah, if she were doing her job properly she'd jump to offer it to your female partner too ;)

This reminds me of a certain paper due to a prof who asked why you had to go with me to court.
