Some of you may remember my post about finally calling the cops on my neighbours one night.

She spent 5 days in the hospital.
He's still in jail.

Thank you for being responsible and calling the authorities - too many people "mind their own business" when it comes to violence.

I mind my own business to a point. People fight. It all comes back to poor communications skills, but I've yet to find someone who has mastered them all the time. I do draw the line at physical violence, and even then, I try to make sure it's not moving day (cursing... yelling... loud thumping... so they were just trying to move the sofa out of the apartment... honest mistake?)

wow. Makes you breathe - and, hopefully, by the time he gets out of jail, she will be safely gone.

As much as he was definitely in the wrong that night, I'm pretty sure she instigates as much as he does. I'm not convinced she'd leave him, but I'm also not convinced he'd come back.

OMG! I'm so glad you called the cops! How did you find out what happened?

One of our neighbours shovels everyone's driveway, and he knows *everyone's* business. I also know I didn't see her for a few days afterwards, and I haven't seen him since. Life is much quieter next door.
