I also upped my minimum payment to nearly double, otherwise I wouldn't even be halfway there.

Well, it's not like they gave me much in the first place. I was only given $1300 because my parents made too much money and didn't give me any, and then because of administrative bullshit where a certain form wasn't filed by the financial aid office I (and thousands of other students) were then listed as being due for repayment despite still being in school, and then all the interest accrued from the day 'I left school' making my total repayment come to $1450.
