Josh and I are going camping on the weekend of July 13-15, and we can't bring Pebbles.

Is anyone

a) able and willing to take a sleep-loving dog for the weekend?

or

b) able to recommend a good place to board a dog? (Preferably you have boarded an animal there before)

If Pebbles is ok/good with cats, I may be able to. I barely leave my apartment these days and as far as I know, Pebbles is a small breed, so that shouldn't be a problem. All my animals have their shots.

Forgot to mention that I have a dog too but there is a small yard behind my apartment building that both the dogs can run in :).

She's a medium breed. To my knowledge, she's good with cats (yes, she's grooming them, not tasting them). She's also not territorial, and doesn't really understand dogs that are (which causes sooo many issues).

Do you know if Rocky is touchy about dogs in his space?

I thought Pebbles was a poodle? ... Maybe I'm thinking of the tiny ones when Pebbles is actually one of the larger ones (I didn't know there were huge poodles until I was in the Rockefeller's class).

Medium breed would still be fine here. I've had a 85 pound german shepherd here for a week, LOL, and she was okay with it.

If I take Rocky out to the backyard with Pebbles first, there's a better chance of him getting along with her (like I can trick him into thinking Pebbles lives in this building :P 'cuz he is actually getting along with the other dogs here). He's also mellowed out a little with new dogs because of his age. I'd also be watching EVERYONE and at home 24/7.

So just let me know :)

Yeah, she's a standard Poodle and weighs in at a whopping 35lbs(I really should put up pictures of her). Some people call her a large dog, but I grew up with 100lb Labs, so a 35lb Poodle is "medium"

I appreciate the offer, but someone else got back to me and Pebbles has stayed with her before and knows all of her pets already (which is a bonus). I'll definitely keep you in mind if this comes up again!

Maybe we should introduce Rocky and Pebbles sometime anyhow

That sounds like the perfect situation for Pebbles then!

But I definitely think that Rocky & Pebbles should meet, I think they'd have a lot of fun!

Pictures please :D I always love seeing pics of pets.

Rocky is about 20 pounds. The foundation thinks he's a small breed but he's bigger than the average border terrier, lol.

My girlfriend uses Eastway Kennels a lot. It's out in Navan, and they let the dogs out on their fenced off farm area to play, groom, etc.

As long as your pup is all up to date with her shots.

She's got her shots right down to Bordatella.

Navan sounds far, but it's not any worse than taking her to the vet (in Rockland)

The prices look reasonable though.
