(no subject)

I daresay I've had a good idea.

I sit on the Board for Pink Triangle Services.
Studies show that there is a significant number of GLBT youth who are street-involved (and vice versa). But how to help them?

I walk past Operation Go Home on my way to work every day.

Partnership anyone?

If he is still there, you may want to talk to Bob at Housing Help. We used to have what was called a Host Homes Advisory and we were planning housing for disadvantaged GLBTTQ youth but funding didn't happen. So homeless youth would live with a GLBTTQ or ally & focus on getting jobs, etc., while at the host homes. Other arrangements such as a monthly fee to the 'hosts' for people who worked but had other issues (i.e., being disowned by family) were also possible.

Maybe you could set up an advisory like such to help homeless youth & develop a program? I'd love to be involved if you are able to do so.

Also, there is a Housing Registry for GLBT Community at Housing Help.
