(no subject)

I picked up the bassinet/playpen/change table combo for the baby today, as well as some bare-bones necessities for the baby. I'm appalled by the limited blue, pink, or yellow options available in clothing. Purple? Green? For the record, if my baby is in blue, it's because I loathe yellow and pink.

I went to my work Christmas Party... my coworkers gave me some baby gifts... we gave my boss some good Scotch... my coworkers got loaded, started dropping the f-bomb and comparing tattoos we got as teenagers. My boss told us stories of his manager development course he's been on for two weeks. After a few scenarios, he got his ass kicked trying to roleplay and decided to screw being an authority figure and just do things his own way. In fact, we're all encouraged to buck authority. He should be really thankful that everyone on the team functions independently of authoritarian direction.
I'm exhausted, but I can't sleep... everything's just a little bit uncomfortable. My neck is tense... at least that I can stretch. My hips are spreading and that is wreaking havoc with my muscles and stuff... especially my hip adductors and inguinal ligament which makes it feel like I've been kicked in the junk.  I'm going to be a wreck if I don't get more good nights of sleep. I hope I get a little rest in before Santarchy tomorrow. Of course, Santarchy is after another 7-hour prenatal class.

And tonight's 3am entertainment:

zenten: (Gleefully) We forgot to open the package!!
me: What package?
zenten: I dunno
...
...
zenten: (Gleefully again) The one from the store!!
me: Are you asleep?
zenten: Maybe....*snoring*

He's also taken to stealing my body pillow...grr

Yes, he's still intact.
