Today was more productive than my first few days of maternity leave.
So far, I
- did the layout for a coffee table book for my parents for Christmas
- went to work and set all my out-of-office stuff, faxed stuff to my compensation advisor (who is on leave herself, oy vey), and cleared out my desk.
- picked up my essay from the summer on "The Role of Industrialism and Cultural Failings in the Bankruptcy of the American Dream as presented in Thomas Pynchon's Crying of Lot 49". I write essay titles in English the same way I wrote research papers in Biology. I got an A-, no complaints here.
