Here's a recap of kind of where I'm at in my life.
Work
My job blows. There is not a whole heck of a lot for me there, and as soon as I can finish saying that "the only thing that makes it tolerable for me to be there is my supervisor", he's off on short-term medical leave.
Prospects include being placed out of a Project Manager/Officer/Administrator staffing pool that I qualified for. And so I wait a little more.
School
I'm doing a lot of things here, yet almost nothing at all. I've taken a break from getting my "Arts, English Honours Specialization with Minor in Biology" just because 16th Century Literature looks really tedious and Biology lectures are never done in one shot and are done in the middle of the day. I will eventually obtain this degree. In the interim, the plain jane English degree will suffice.
I'm doing one online course in Project Management through Algonquin, but I haven't even submitted the first assignment. All work is due March 9. Not good.
Volunteer
I'm sitting on the Board at Pink Triangle Services, and also serving on their I.T. Committee. It's pretty rewarding to see the new initiatives. There are lots of positive changes happening, so let's see if it continues on this trend.
Someone from the St. John Brigade got in touch with me out of the blue and we discussed that a lot of people got turfed based on the new First Aid requirements required by St. John Ambulance... which are lame... and if I want, will work together with me to find a place within the organization. The organization has left themselves open to a class action lawsuit in my opinion because their new operation procedure discriminates harshly against those with a disability. Remind me again why I would have to lift a 200lb human being as an urbanite with medical services? People talk about "medding up" before taking the qualifier... that is... taking medications like painkillers and steroids to be able to pull it off, and oftentimes injuring themselves. Sick. I refuse.
Recreation
I am doing yoga weekly through the city, and taking a few other sporadic courses like aromatherapy.
Home
Ugh. Don't ask. I feel overwhelmed in my home responsibilities. Very, very overwhelmed.
Health
My body has been experiencing an undue amount of stress likely and doesn't like it. Fibromyalgia is acting up, and only minor involvement from the Lupus. The glory days of Depo are over and my body is starting to function like a gir'ls again. It's traumatic. I would like evolution to try the female repoductive system over. Plans not to specification.
I have to go to work.
