I reclaimed my hat. I am still exhausted. Got home late. Good to spend time with people. Was left wanting. SLightly anxious. Expecting a call from work that may never come. Should do homework. Should do dishes. Should take a nap. Should play video games. Mutually exclusive? Bought new wool. No Peacock on hand. Can't finish first scarf. Bought cardinal wool to make a red scarf to match aforementioned reclaimed hat. I don't post as much as I want to. Brilliance lost due to laziness. Resonance. Disjointed kind of day. I must stop chewing gum. It hurts. I think I'll skip the bar tonight. Should go. Can't be bothered. Finished reading The Screwtape Letters. It was quite good. Off to do something else for a bit...

GOLDFINCH: You're the person everyone wishes they
could be. You're golden. Every project you
work on tends to succeed, every person wants
to open up to you and get your advice,
because you seem to keep your own life on its
track so well. They tend to miss your
private ups and downs, though.

=======================
Linger awhile upon some bending planks
That lean against a streamlet's rushy banks,
And watch intently Nature's gentle doings:
They will be found softer than ring-dove's cooings.
....................................
Sometimes goldfinches one by one will drop
From low hung branches; little space they stop;
But sip, and twitter, and their feathers sleek;
Then off at once, as in a wanton freak:
Or perhaps, to show their black, and golden wings,
Pausing upon their yellow flutterings.
