"There are two main reasons for which people fall into the sin of luxuria. It may be through sheer exuberance of animal spirits... or-and this commonly happens in periods of disillusionment like our own, when philosophies are bankrupt and life appears without hope-men and womenmay turn to lust in sheer boredom and discontent, trying to find in it some stimulus that is not provided by the drag discomfort of their mental and physical surrounding... it is as though one were to endeavour to cure anemia by bleeding... the mournful and medical aspect of twentieth-century pornography and promiscuity strongly suggests that we have reached one of these periods of spiritual depression where people go to bed because they have nothing better to do"

For those of you who are not aware, I am more or less housebound. While I am getting better, it is difficult for me to travel places (mostly due to jackasses on the bus who decide their 12 shopping bags from La Senza and Giant Tiger are more deserving of seating than people with canes and women who are late in their third trimester... not me, this really rocking woman who cleared out every seat in the front half of an accordian bus... anyhow)...
where was I

Yes.. so please do not interpret my reluctance to go out as anything but "Shit, that's a really far way to limp" or "It's really sunny out right now" I'm getting better, just wait for it... or come visit me in my sweltering apartment!
