(no subject)

I have just agreed to donate 6 vials of saliva to science in exchange for a $20 gift certificate.

Expensive spit...

Hmm... one has to wonder what type of visual aids they provide to help you produce such a large supply.

Dare i ask why someone feels they need your saliva so badly?

So they can compare it to the stress records you're journalling for them.

And just think of all those fools giving it to the sidewalks and bus floors for nothing....

Where?

Friends in highschool who had allergies made some good drinkin' money for being a 'test subject' in new allergy medicines, but I never could on account of having no allergies. Maybe I could give spit.

I went to http://www.copewell.carelton.ca and participated in their Canadian Life Experiences Survey. For phase 1, you answer a questionnaire and get a $20 gift certificate. Then 6 months later there is the phase 2 questionnaire (which you may or may not be chosen for), which is good for a $10 gift certificate. Then a couple weeks later they send you vials for phase 3 and then when you mail the saliva back, they'll mail you another $20 gift certificate. And yes, you do receive the gift cards.

I pick mine for Chapters, but you can also choose HMV, Second Cup... a bunch of other places.

*Laughs* I have already done it. Its a time expenditure, but thats about the only complaint and i spent the 20$ at chapters for "What colour is your parachute" to help out Angela.
