I've been renewed until February 10, 2006. I think this is the last time folks! I have learned never to work so far away from home again. The scarf I am knitting is coming along at a rapid pace, but I almost only knit on the bus. This is bad. So, if you ask nicely after that day, I might be able to show you my 2-volume book on retirement.

Attention Plague Monkeys!
For the sweet love of all that is holy, cover your fucking mouth when you cough (or sneeze) in public. It's not just polite, it's not because your mother told you to, it prevents millions of itty bitty viruses from being expelled at high velocity on saliva and sputum droplets to be suspended into the air and spread to the next person on the bus. And usually, it is the bus! I can't escape on the bus, so I'm stuck staring little coronaviruses and rhinoviruses in the eye and going "No, no, not me! That guy over there is much tastier, eat his sinuses!"

Update on new year karma...
It's been kind of like that airplane hat is delayed for 3 hours in the terminal and then has two or three false starts bouncing down the runway as it tries to take off. Will it stay airborne? Will it crash and burn with hundreds of firey screaming passengers pleading to make final peace with their deity? Not sure. I kind of want off this trip.
